Resident involvement
We know residents have experiences, skills and ideas which will help us deliver great services - so we want you to get involved and have your say.
Being involved gives you the chance to influence and make decisions about your home and neighbourhood. It's also a great way to meet people in your community, build your confidence and learn new skills.
There are lots of different ways to get involved, including:
- Joining or starting a Residents' Association or Resident Action Group (see below)
- Coming on a community walkabout
- Attending a community events
- Joining us on an estate inspection
- Becoming a resident repair inspector
- Becoming an SHP Board member
- Joining our performance committee
- Taking part in a satisfaction survey
- Submitting a complaint, compliment or feedback
Residents' associations
Help shape your neighbourhood and influence decisions about where you live. Get involved in a residents association.
There are a number of individual residents' associations and resident representation groups around the borough who meet regularly to discuss issues in their neighbourhood. They represent the views of both tenants and leaseholders.
Find out when your next residents’ association meeting is by contacting them using the details below. Where possible we also publish these in our community events calendar.
If there isn't a residents' association in your area speak to your Housing Manager about how you could set one up.
